Mandrake8.1beta-Raklet粗略试用手记
Mandrake一直是我最喜欢的发行版之一---在一开始用Linux的时侯-fei几乎下遍了所有能下的iso版本并全部装过了--但是最后我只用Mandrake和Redhat--原因很简单--顺手而已。我有一台Sun的ultrasparc也在运行着Mandrake的corporate server for sparc--感觉非常好。
81.beta-Raklet推出后down下来iso--刻成盘---照例两张安装的和RPM包-BTW我是在ftp://ftp.aso.ee/pub/os/Linux/distributions/mandrake-iso/i586/下的--在mandrake的镜象站中我觉得这个是最快的（主要是没有做IP并发限制：））
开始安装（我的PC是P3 450,320M memory,savage4 8mb,剩余空间3g)--还是一样漂亮的界面--和8.0没有太大变化-蓝底只是最上面有个大大的红色beta字符-安装语言我选的是简体中文(只是为了看中文支持怎样，其实在所有我装过的Linux上都用的是e文）。
分区时多了一些选项，Rfs,jfs,ext3都可以了。然后在装软件包时8.0时的mandrake介绍图片变成了一些老外的生活照！！（不知道他们是谁--Mandrake的技术人员？）都很年轻--有几个还穿着带Linux企鹅的T恤，感觉更贴近了一些。
再往后和以往没什么变化--不过在选开机服务时采用了选软件包的类型--对服务的说明做的很详细。这应该是个进步。
引导程序我选了Grub---好了-装完重起-感觉速度比以前快了不少，不过Grub还是那么难看--登录--起动X--??出来了两个错误提示--都是乱码？？在安装时test没问题呀-看来对中文的支持还是不太好。得--重装英文的吧。
fdisk /mbr--光盘重起--重分了一下区，引导程序还是Lilo的彩色版吧--再重起--好了-startx-进入KDE2.2了--正常了--不过2.2总感觉不太顺手。--半天没找到起动应用程序的菜单--mozilla开多个窗口时只用一个条--来回切换有些麻烦（或许是X用的太少的原因吧：））
内核是2.4.8-gcc是2.96--总的来说并没有从7.2到8.0给我的惊喜大-所以在Mandrake主站上一再声明不要用于关键应用--只是用来调试的。希望有兴趣的朋友自己试试。
